Expert Group Meeting – Data Ethics and Responsible AI

The “hot” topic will be the proposed regulatory framework for the development, marketing, and use of artificial intelligence (AI). The purpose of the framework is to legally define artificial intelligence and impose documentation, auditing, and process requirements for AI providers. If passed, the framework will be binding on all 27 EU Member States and apply to anyone who creates and disseminates AI systems in the European Union, including foreign companies such as Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI. Join us to discuss AI’ll be back! – Consequences of AI regulation for start-ups with the following speakers:

Livia Walpen, Senior Policy Advisor International Relations, BAKOM
AI Act: State of play
Overview of the general framework of the AI Act and possible effects on Switzerland

Christoph Heitz, Founder and President data innovation alliance
Is it possible to be prepared for the coming AI regulation as a company?

Christoph Bräunlich, Head AI, BSI Software
Use Case BSI: Digital Responsibility as AI provider: Can a “Code of AI conduct” help?
The input sessions will be followed by a panel discussion with the speakers moderated by Markus Christen – and of course an apéro where you can have individual discussions and exchange.
